Description
-The H5 series was introduced in 2016 as JR Hokkaido's first Shinkansen. Based on JR East's E5 series, some of the interior and exterior have been changed. The basic appearance and paint color are similar to the E5 series, but it has a lavender stripe called "Saika Purple", and the symbol mark of Hokkaido and the Gyrfalcon motif is on the side of the five cars in the formation. Like the E5 series, it is active in "Hayabusa" between Tokyo and Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto.
◆The Hokkaido Shinkansen opened on March 26, 2016. The H5 series, which appeared with the advance opening of the Shin-Aomori to Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto section, is now available in HO gauge for the first time. The basic set is available in a convenient 4-car set. By combining the 2-car and 4-car extension sets, you can flexibly expand from a short formation to a full formation.
