Description

N gauge KATO E4 Series Shinkansen Max Toki 8-car set with slotless motor.

The E4 Series appeared in 1994 as JR East's second all-double-deck Shinkansen type after the E1. Two 8-car sets could be coupled to form a 16-car train with a very high passenger capacity. In later years the E4 became strongly associated with Joetsu Shinkansen Max Toki services, with the side stripe changed from yellow to pink in 2014.
