Description
T-TRAK modules come in fixed lengths, generally known as “singles”, “doubles” and “triples”. Rather than being fitted with legs the modules sit on top of a table. Each module has adjustable feet allowing for any variation in table heights to be accounted for.
This “Triple” T-TRAK module is based on a minimum track length of 930mm (3 x 20-000 & 20-010). A two track main-line is used. The actual baseboard is slightly shorter than the track length at 928mm. The difference in length allow the tracks to be joined perfectly using the standard Kato Uni-joiners.
These kits use the Yorkshire Area Group/Australian standard of using the easy to obtain Phono connectors rather than the more difficult 'Anderson power poles'. Our boards are also the full 330mm deep whilst the standard allows for 210mm to 330mm.
Once assembled, this triple module baseboard therefore measures 330mm x 928mm x 70mm (plus legs), with a backscene measuring 928mm x 280mm
Designed and manufactured in Yorkshire.
Kit includes:
- laser cut plywood boards which interlock to form the baseboard
- laser cut plywood board for backscene 'skyboard'.
- threaded inserts and bolts to act as adjustable legs
- nuts and bolts to attach backscene to base
- phono plugs for electrical connection
- 3d printed mounting plate for phono plugs
- assembly instructions
Optional:
- Track pack of 6 x 20-000 & 2 x 20- 010. (£15.10 inc VAT)
- 2 x 24-818 Terminal unijoiners to provide a power feed for your track. (£7 inc VAT)
You will also need wood glue, a drill, soldering iron and solder. Also some scenic materials and imagination!
The logistics involved in preparing T-TRAK kits for postage mean that there is normally a 1-2 working day delay before despatch, sometimes more at busy times. If any item is show as 'Available on back-order' then there may be 5-10 days wait as some parts are en-route from a supplier, but you can still place an order. We will endeavour to keep you informed if there is any further delay.

Another great product! These kits are superb and are exactly what I have been looking for. Yes the cost does add up using these modules - but see each module as a project in itself. Thanks Ian and The guys in the Yorkshire society!

Well made kit that goes together quite easily. It's plywood rather than MDF, which sets this kit apart from many other 'off the shelf' baseboard kits. I'm sure there are pros and cons to that, but I'll leave that to others to debate! Suffice it to say that the kit goes together nicely, didn't need any sanding or fettling, and once built, seems quite sturdy. The built-in backscene board is a nice feature. The instructions were adequate, once located online, but really, the kit is so simple that it's easy enough to put together with a little common sense. I used Gorilla glue, which seemed to do the job nicely. Some clamps or similar are needed to help hold parts together if you want really tight joins.
While you could probably run up something similar to these precise dimensions if you had a workshop full of power tools, the reality is for many if not most modellers that they're stuck with making do with a basic toolkit and whatever space they can claim on the kitchen table! What your £60 gets you is a sturdy baseboard made to the exact T-TRAK dimensions needed for use as part of a modular layout. This triple-length unit is easily big enough for a simple 'shunting plank' or some other type of micro-layout, while compact enough to sit on a shelf.

An excellent product, really easy to put together - can be done in a few nights without any trouble (probably quicker depending on how quickly your glue dries) perfect for model railway clubs so members can do their own personal preference for scenery but still conform to track standards across the group
