The Tokyu 5080 series is a Meguro Line train that debuted in 2003. This group is compatible with single-man operation for through-services with the Tokyo Metro Namboku Line, Toei Subway Mita Line, and Saitama Rapid Railway. Initially, a total of 10 trains were manufactured and operated with six cars. Two more cars were added in 2022, bringing the total to eight. In March of the following year, through-services with the Sotetsu Line began via the newly established Tokyu Shin-Yokohama Line. Distinctive features include a blue stripe in line color wrapped around the headboard, and two L-shaped antennas on the roof of the Shin-Yokohama-bound lead car for centralized radio antenna placement (none on the Meguro-bound lead car). This marks the first appearance of the Meguro Line 5080 series in KATO's Tokyu Line lineup. The distinctive blue stripe and the unique placement of the rooftop radio antennas are faithfully recreated. Enjoy these trains alongside the various other cars that share the Tokyu Shin-Yokohama Line and its direct connections.
