-The 485 series is a limited express AC/DC train representing the national railway that was active all over Japan except Shikoku.
The 481 series AC/DC limited express train that appeared in 1964 was the forerunner, and in 1968 the 485 series, capable of both 50 and 60 Hz AC sections, was developed, from Hokkaido to Kyushu, all over the country except Shikoku. and contributed greatly to inter-regional transportation. The style of the top car Kuha 481 started with a bonnet shape, passed through the front penetration type 200 series, and became a non-penetration type 300 series, and became popular as the face of the JNR limited express.

You can enjoy various formations that were active in the Japanese National Railways era by combining the initial form, which is characterized by the bonnet style, with the add-on set and the 485 series 200s/300s.
In addition, if you update the attached train mark and stickers and use the separately sold train mark for the bonnet, you can enjoy it as a Sanyo / Kyushu limited express in addition to the conventional Japan Sea limited express and Tohoku limited express.
