Description
The 475 Series was a 60 Hz AC/DC express EMU introduced in 1965 for services linking Kansai with Hokuriku, Sanyo and Kyushu. The 'Tateyama' and 'Yunokuni' express services are closely associated with JNR-era operations between Kansai and Hokuriku.
This KATO basic set represents the 475 Series in its express-train heyday around 1975, with the JNR standard AC/DC express livery of red No. 13 and cream No. 4 banding.
