Description
The 313 Series 8000 sub-series was built for the former Central Liner service, a rapid service with reserved-seat elements that operated between Nagoya and Nakatsugawa on the Chuo Main Line. The group stands out from other 313 Series trains through its silver cab front, orange accents and higher-grade interior fittings.
After transfer, these units have mainly worked local services in the Shizuoka area, including the Tokaido Main Line, Gotemba Line and Minobu Line.
This KATO set represents formation S5 of the Shizuoka Vehicle District, including the revised affiliation marking, stroller mark, distinctive side-window arrangement and roof-mounted train radio antenna.
