Description
The 381 Series Yuttari Yakumo worked limited express services between Okayama and Izumo City and attracted attention as the last JNR-type limited express EMU in regular service. Regular operation ended in June 2024 as the new 273 Series took over.
This KATO set represents the later normal formation with grey bogies. It includes the distinctive late-life details seen on the prototype, including grey underfloor equipment on Kuro 381-139 and the different window and ventilator arrangement of Saha 381-223.
The formation can be enjoyed as a full seven-car train or used to represent shorter off-season formations, depending on the layout and operating plan.
