The 500 Series "Nozomi", which ran on the Tokaido and Sanyo Shinkansen, boasts a maximum speed of 300km/h, excellent aerodynamics, and is still very popular due to its sharp and dynamic nose shape. From 1997 to March 2010 it was active in connecting between Tokyo and Hakata in 4 hours.
Since 2003, the car number and set configuration have been re-released for the W4 formation with unreserved seats. Enjoy the Tokaido/Sanyo Shinkansen in the 2000s.
