[E231 Series 1000 belonging to Oyama Rolling Stock Center]

●The E231 Series 1000 was introduced in 2000 to replace the 115 Series and 211 Series that had been in service on the Utsunomiya Line (Tohoku Line) and Takasaki Line until then. The trains introduced to Oyama Rolling Stock Center in the early 2000s have different features from the additional trains that have appeared on the Tokaido Line since 2004, such as the side curtain board with a continuous green stripe, a long running board that extends above the driver's door of the leading car, a non-glass cockpit driver's console, and the location of the toilet in the train.

◆Both the 10-car and 5-car trains will be produced with the current specifications after the equipment has been updated. You can enjoy operating the train in a maximum of 15 cars by coupling it with the popular 10-1784~1787 E231 Series 1000 Tokaido Line (renewed cars) or the 10-1267S~1270S E233 Series 3000 Tokaido Line/Ueno-Tokyo Line.

Main Features

① The U522 train (10 cars) and U60 train (5 cars) belonging to the Oyama Vehicle Center are commercialized with specifications after equipment renewal.

② The body with a continuous green band on the side curtain board and the roof equipped with a small cooler throughout the train are reproduced.

③ The leading car reproduces the long running board that extends above the driver's door and the driver's cab console of the non-glass cockpit.

④ The front glass of car 15 (Kuha E231-8022) is reproduced with film pasted around the destination display and the train number display.

⑤ A new AU725B cooler (made by Transportec) is produced (applied to cars 6 to 10, 14 and 15).

⑥Reproduces car 10 (KuHa E231-6022), which has no toilet, and car 6 (SaHa E231-6022), which has a toilet.

⑦Both the 10-car set and the 5-car additional formation set reproduce the underfloor equipment of the Moha E230/Moha E231, which has undergone equipment renewal.

⑧The bogies of the Salo E231/E230 reproduce the configuration in which the yaw dampers have been removed.

⑨The use of a slotless motor allows for smooth and quiet running.

⑩The affiliation is marked as "Miyayama", and the safety device markings are set to "P" and "SN".

⑪Head/tail lights and front destination display lights up (using white LEDs). Car 10 (Kuha E231-6022) and car 11 (Kuha E230-6022) are equipped with a light-off switch.

⑫ The front coupling of cars 1 and 15 uses a dummy coupler, and the front coupling of cars 10 and 11 uses a KATO close-coupled coupler (without hook), and comes with an electric coupler.
⑬ The intermediate coupling is equipped with a body-mounted KATO close-coupled coupler (with hook) as standard. Realizes a realistic coupling surface and smooth running.
