Description
-The EF81 was introduced in 1968 as a dual-purpose locomotive capable of towing both passengers and freight.
The No. 95 locomotive was repainted in 1987 as a towing locomotive for the Joyful Train "Super Express Rainbow", and is characterized by its vivid cherry red paint and the "EF81" logo painted large on the side of the car body.
Even after the retirement of the "Super Express Rainbow", the rainbow paint of this locomotive continued, and it is currently used as a towing locomotive for the group-only train Cassiopeia Cruise.
◆The long-awaited lineup will be added to KATO's EF81 series. The No. 95 locomotive, which features a large "EF81" logo painted in different designs on both sides, will be released as a single item. It is suitable as a towing locomotive for the 10-2112/2114 E26 series "Cassiopeia Cruise"/"Cassiopeia", which will be released at the same time.
