Description

The Oha 12 was part of the 12 Series passenger coach family, introduced by JNR as modern loco-hauled stock for excursion, temporary and group trains. With automatic doors, improved passenger accommodation and a distinctive blue body with cream banding, the 12 Series became a familiar sight behind diesel and electric locomotives across Japan.

This single coach is useful for extending KATO 12 Series formations, creating shorter excursion trains or adding extra variety to loco-hauled passenger stock.
