Description

The 12 Series passenger coaches were built between 1969 and 1978 for express and excursion use. They were air-conditioned seated coaches with underfloor diesel generator power, and became an important step towards later Japanese passenger coach designs.

This 6-car JNR specification set is useful for recreating group trains, special trains and passenger-relief workings, as well as longer express formations when combined with other 12 Series and luggage/mail vehicles.
