Description
A set of eight 1/150 scale red-crowned cranes from KATO's Hokkaido Animal Series. The set is designed for natural scenery, wetlands, rural landscapes and dioramas inspired by Hokkaido and northern Japan.
The red-crowned crane is a large wild bird associated with the Kushiro Marsh area, with a wingspan of more than 2 m on the real bird and a distinctive red crown. It is a protected species in Japan and is also linked with Ainu cultural ideas of the marshland and the natural world.
These figures are especially suitable for scenes viewed from or inspired by the SL Winter Wetlands Train, but they can also be used on broader wildlife, marshland, wetland or nature-themed N gauge layouts.
