Description
- The Wafu 29500 is a covered brake van, of which a total of 650 were manufactured between 1955 and 1961. Based on the track record of covered brake vans up to that point, the cargo compartment had a load capacity of 5t and a floor area of 15.05m2, and the conductor's room had a floor area of 6.73m2. It was designed with the conductor's working environment in mind, with a stove and a bench for resting, and a deck that was convenient for boarding and disembarking. In addition to main line class freight trains towed by D51, it was used for a wide range of purposes, including short-form freight trains seen on local lines operated by C56 and other models.
- This is the first appearance of a covered brake van in KATO's HO gauge JNR freight car lineup. You can enjoy it together with <1-203 (HO) D51 standard production type> and various freight cars.
