Description

This special edition KATO set represents the JR Shikoku 8000 Series in its original pre-renewal colour scheme. The prototype appeared from 1992 and became a familiar limited express EMU on services such as 'Shiokaze' and 'Ishizuchi'.

The real 8000 Series can be operated as 5-car and 3-car formations, or coupled together as an 8-car train. This set recreates an 8-car L6 + S2 formation in the earlier livery, before the later refurbishment and repainting work.
