●The 813 series began commercial operation in 1994 as JR Kyushu's first VVVF inverter vehicle. It was manufactured over a long period until 2009, and during that time, vehicles that were modified to suit various forms and usage conditions appeared, and are active mainly in the Fukuoka metropolitan area. The 2200 series is a train in which some of the 200 series' convertible cross seats have been removed and modified to long seats in order to increase transportation capacity, and is operated with a maximum of 3 trains coupled together to make 9 cars. In recent years, construction work has been carried out to remove the instrument transformers installed around the pantograph.
◆From the 813 series, which is active as JR Kyushu's main vehicle, we will be releasing a new product of the 2200 series, which has been modified to have long seats. You can enjoy it together with various vehicles that run in the Kyushu region, such as the popular 10-1540/1541 787 series <Around the Kyushu>.
