Description
◆The DD51 is a diesel locomotive representative of the Japanese National Railways, manufactured from 1962 and seen throughout Japan except for Shikoku. Since it was manufactured for a long time and used in various places, there are many variations, and the DD51 that was active in the San'in region is characterized by a style equipped with a snowplow called B cold weather specification. It was widely used from towing the sleeper express "Izumo" to ordinary trains and freight trains made up of old passenger cars.
